Olive...you are 1 month old!!!!
You have just fit right into our little family and are loved so very much! We have started your day at 6:30am pretty much since we were in the hospital because we knew that's when we would have to get your big sister and big brother ready for school. I've kept you on a 2 1/2 hour schedule because that fits best with Lily and Sam's school schedule and you are doing great! You slept in the pack'n'play in our bedroom for the first two weeks, and then we moved you to your crib. You love to be swaddled, which is so different from your sister and brother! You have your bath at 7pm, eat, and go to bed. You usually wake up 2 times during the night...sometimes 3; however, we've had several 5- 5 1/2 hour stretches and one night you went 6 hours, so you are doing great!
You are the sweetest little thing and love to be rocked and held. You also enjoy listening to the local Christian radio station! You are very vocal and cry louder than any newborn I've ever heard cry! Sam refers to you as a "mad cat", which has stuck, so whenever you are screaming we all say that you are like a mad cat.
You have the longest hair on top of your head that I refer to as your "duck feathers"!
You have been wearing newborn size clothes, and are just now going into 0-3 month clothes...sadly, your newborn clothes are getting too small! You started in newborn diapers and have been wearing size 1 diapers for two weeks. You love riding in the Baby Bjorn...when we took Lily and Sam to school on August 13 you head was below the top of the carrier and in just one week your head is now over the top! You are growing longer so quickly!
At your dr appointment you weighed 7 pounds 13 ounces (11%), were 21 inches long (42%), and had a head circumference of 14 1/2 inches (58%). You are by far our longest baby!!!
You are such a blessing to us!!!!
In the last week you have started smiling, and "cooing/talking" to us, which is so sweet to see.
